Inspiration
This month's award goes to CNN for their work on Britain’s Shadowy Border, a stunning scrolly using cartography, open-source media and animation to explain the story of migrants trying to cross the southern border.
The special mention goes to Clever Franke for designing and developing Voices from the Frontline, a large interactive project for the Africa Climate Mobility Initiative.
Insights
With the birth of my son last month I haven’t had the time to organise a case study or interview, but I did create VizGPT.
Viz is a custom GPT which uses research to give feedback on the most effective visualization methods for your data and objectives. All of the insights, academic research and books that I’ve been consolidating over the past year into a playbook have been absorbed by Viz.
I’ve also had a wonderful time reading Mathieu Guglielmino’s newsletter: Visual Data Storytelling. Each week he publishes an insightful breakdown of visual stories from graphics teams.
